Following the great success of the first Historical Symposium in 2007,  Prof. Ted Cowan, Head of Crichton Campus, West of Scotland University Dumfries,  has agreed to lead a second historical symposium in the afternoon.

The enthusiastic response to last year's symposium - educational, occassionaly contraversial and thought provoking delivered with his unique style of humour makes this another 'not to be missed' event.

A coach tour through the lovely valley of the River Nith to Dumfries House, recently acquired for the nation by Prince Charles, Prince of Scotland.

The welcome return of Aly Bain and Phill Cunningham at the spectacular new Concert Hall, DG One in Dumfries.
